WELCOME TO YOUR LUXURY LASH EXPERIENCE
Lash extensions are a luxury service, and my goal is to give you the safest, healthiest, and longest‑lasting results possible. This handbook will guide you through everything you need to know to care for your lashes properly, understand how retention works, and protect the health of your natural lashes.
This guide also includes all studio policies, expectations, and important information so there is no confusion about what is required, what is normal, and why certain rules exist. My goal is clarity, transparency, and helping you get the absolute best experience every time you’re in my studio. Reading it is your responsibility. All policies apply whether or not you choose to read them.
✨ COMPLIMENTARY NEW CLIENT AFTERCARE KIT
Every new client receives a ONE-TIME luxury aftercare kit, valued at $25, as my gift for choosing me as your lash artist. Lashes are a luxury service — and they require luxury‑level care to maintain retention, health, and longevity. This kit is a curated set of tools designed to help you maintain your lashes at home and support the best retention.
Your Aftercare Kit Includes:
Rechargeable handheld fan
Soft cleansing brush
Bottle of lash shampoo
Lash spoolies
Compact mirror
Single‑use lubricating eye drops
Mini sponges for drying the eye area
Lint‑free micro swabs (ideal for removing lint, makeup, eye goobers safely — far better than using fingers)
Mesh travel bag
Shampoo Refill Policy
Bring your empty shampoo bottle back once a month — I will refill it at no cost for all active clients. Your bottle should be close to empty each month, which reflects consistent daily cleansing and proper care.
Replacement Policy
This kit is complimentary one time for new clients. If any item is lost, damaged, or stops working, replacements must be purchased. I do not replace items from the kit for any reason. The only items you may request more of are lash spoolies, micro swabs, and liquid shampoo which are available for free. If your handheld fan stops working, it is not eligible for replacement — a blow dryer on low speed and cool temperature setting works perfectly as an alternative.
✨ NEW CLIENT PAPERWORK & INTAKE REQUIREMENTS
All new clients are required to complete their intake and consent forms at their very first appointment. This paperwork is completed in‑studio, one time, and kept on file for safety, documentation, and NV compliance.
All New Clients Must:
Be 18 years or older
Bring a valid photo ID — a photocopy will be made and attached to their paperwork to verify age
Complete all required intake and consent forms at their first appointment
Agree to before & after photos for documentation and progress tracking
✨ LASH STYLE CHANGES (Lengths, Curls, Densities & Set Types)
Your lash style can be changed at any time during your lash journey — this includes switching between Classic, Hybrid, Volume, Mega Volume, or Specialty Sets, as well as adjusting lengths, curls, or density.
It is completely normal for clients to try different looks over time. Styles, events, and preferences change, and you are always welcome to explore new options.
Important to Understand:
Lash extensions cannot be applied on top of existing extensions.
Each natural lash can safely hold only one fan or single extension at a time.
If you want a different style than what you are currently wearing from our previous appointment (for example, switching from Mega thick volume to Classic, or from longer to shorter lengths), I may need to remove your current extensions first.
This is to protect your natural lashes from excess weight, premature shedding, and/or damage.
What This Means for You:
A style change often requires a full removal + a full new set, not a fill.
This is especially true when switching between:
Mega → Classic
Classic → Mega
Volume → Mega
Short → Long
Natural → Dramatic
Any major curl or extension fibers, like kittens and towers
Why Removal Is Sometimes Required:
Adding more extensions on top of existing ones is unsafe and will cause:
Excess weight
Premature lash loss
Poor retention
Damage to natural lashes
The Bottom Line
You can change your lash style anytime you want, but major changes usually require a full removal and a full new set, which is charged at the full new set rate. A style change cannot be done at fill pricing.
✨ 1. LASH GROWTH CYCLE
Your natural lashes grow, rest, and shed in a continuous cycle. Because lash extensions are attached to your natural lashes, your retention will always reflect where your lashes are in their growth cycle.
There are three phases:
Anagen Phase — active growth
Catagen Phase — transition
Telogen Phase — shedding
Every lash is in a different phase at all times. This is why shedding happens daily.
✨ Daily Shedding Is Normal
Most people shed 2–5 natural lashes per eye per day, and more during:
seasonal changes
allergies
hormonal shifts
stress
illness
medication changes
When a natural lash sheds, the extension attached to it sheds too. This is not a retention issue.
✨ 2. LASH SERUMS
Lash serums (Latisse, GrandeLash, Babe Lash, Castor oil etc.) are wonderful for helping your natural lashes grow longer and stronger.
However:
serums contain oils and active ingredients
these ingredients break down lash extension adhesive faster
this causes extensions to shed sooner
fills will be needed more frequently
This is normal and expected when using serums. It does not indicate poor work or bad glue.
✨ 3. SEASONAL ALLERGIES
Seasonal allergies can cause:
watery eyes
redness
swelling
itchiness
increased oil production
eye rubbing
✨ Watery Eyes = Immediate Retention Failure
Adhesive cannot bond to wet lashes.
If your eyes are watering from allergies or illness:
lashes will not stay
adhesive will not cure
extensions will slide off
retention will fail within hours
Attempting to lash watery eyes wastes both our time and our money
If your eyes cannot stay dry, the appointment must be rescheduled.
✨ 4. WELLNESS & CONTAGIOUS SYMPTOMS
For the safety of all clients and in compliance with Nevada State Health Department standards, I cannot perform services on anyone showing signs of illness.
This includes:
fever
coughing
sneezing
congestion
runny nose
sore throat
pink eye
watery eyes
cold/flu symptoms
stomach illness
COVID‑like symptoms
If you arrive sick or with watery eyes, your appointment will be rescheduled.
This protects:
your health
my health
every client after you
my licensing and sanitation compliance
✨ 5. NO MASCARA, STRIP LASHES, OR CLUSTERS
Mascara, strip lashes, clusters, and at‑home lash add‑ons are not allowed while wearing extensions.
These products:
contain latex adhesives
leave behind residue that can only be removed fully chemical remover
clump lashes together
break down extension adhesive
cause stickies
make isolation impossible
damage and rip out natural lashes
If worn, a full removal + full set will be required and the service will be charged at the full price . No exceptions.
✨ 6. NO EXSESSIVE TALKING DURING APPLICATION + LIMIT CAFFEINE
Please limit conversation during lash application, because even small movements cause your eyes, cheeks, and lashes to shift — which leads to fluttering, watering, pad movement, and poor retention.
However, you are always welcome to speak if something needs attention, including:
· discomfort
· burning or stinging
· watery eyes
· pad irritation
· needing a break
· needing an adjustment
Talking is also completely fine before and after the service, during paperwork, and while reviewing aftercare.
Minimal conversation is only required during the actual application to ensure safety, precision, and the best retention possible.
Once we begin lashing:
• your eyes remain fully closed
• your face stays relaxed
• your body stays still
• you can rest or nap
✨ 7. INNER & OUTER CORNER RETENTION
The inner and outer corners of your lashes will always shed faster. This is normal and expected.
✨ The 7 Reasons:
Corner lashes are the most delicate They are thinner, shorter, softer, weaker, more fragile.
Corners move the most Movement = friction. Friction = shedding.
Sweat, tears & moisture hit the corners first Even one tear left to sit can wipe out an entire corner.
Sleeping position Side/stomach sleepers crush the outer corners.
Rubbing, wiping & touching Corners take the brunt of all friction.
Faster natural biological shedding
Not every lash artist lashes the very inner corner. I will do my best to lash those corners as long as it's safe for me to do so
✨ 8. EYE SHAPE, OIL PRODUCTION & RETENTION
Certain eye shapes naturally experience faster lash extension shed due to:
extra skin on the lash line
increased friction
heat retention
oil transfer
downward‑growing lashes
lashes under a fold
This applies to:
hooded eyes
monolids
oily eyelids
This is genetics + anatomy — not a glue issue.
Clients with these eye shapes may require:
more frequent fills
weekly fills in some cases
Lash extensions are still absolutely achievable — they just require realistic expectations.
✨9. FILL ELIGIBILITY
Days are counted from your last lash appointment. Your fill category is determined by two factors:
How many days have passed since your last appointment
How many extensions you still have remaining
Both matter. Both must be met. Neither can be ignored. This ensures fairness, consistency, and proper lash health.
WEEKLY FILL (4–7 DAYS)
Retention Requirement: 80–90% of extensions remaining
Timing: Up to 7 days after your last appointment
A Weekly Fill is for clients who love that fresh, just‑done, full‑glam look every single week.
This appointment is ideal for anyone who wants their lashes to stay consistently:
• dense
• dark
• full
• flawless
• camera‑ready
Weekly fills are light maintenance — not a rebuild.
To qualify for a Weekly Fill:
• You must arrive with 80–90% of your extensions still intact
• Your lashes should look almost like a fresh set
• Only small touch‑ups should be needed
If more than 20% have shed:
Your appointment will be moved to the appropriate fill category.
Weekly fills are perfect for clients who:
• want maximum fullness at all times
• have events, photos, or public‑facing jobs
• prefer a consistently “fresh set” look
• have faster lash cycles
• sleep on their face or side
• have oily lids or monolid/hooded eyes
• wear makeup daily
2‑WEEK FILL (8–14 DAYS)
Retention Requirement: At least 50% of extensions remaining
Timing: 8–14 days after your last appointment
A 2‑Week Fill is the standard fill for most clients.
To qualify:
• You must have 50% or more of your extensions remaining
• Your lashes should still look full, but with visible gaps
• This appointment rebuilds fullness, but not from scratch
If you have less than 50% remaining:
Your appointment will be moved to a 3‑Week Fill or Full Set, depending on days passed.
3‑WEEK FILL (15–21 DAYS)
Retention Requirement: At least 50% of extensions remaining
Timing: 15–21 days after your last appointment
A 3‑Week Fill is for clients who:
• have naturally slow lash growth
• shed less frequently
• follow aftercare perfectly
• avoid rubbing, sweating, and moisture
• sleep on their back
• have strong, healthy natural lashes
Some clients can comfortably go 3 weeks — others cannot.
This is based on your biology, not your lash artist.
To qualify for a 3‑Week Fill:
• You must still have 50% or more of your extensions
• Your natural lashes must be healthy and strong
• You must have excellent retention habits
If you have less than 50% remaining:
It becomes a Full Set, regardless of the number of days.
FULL SET (22+ DAYS OR UNDER 50% REMAINING)
A Full Set is required when:
• 22+ days have passed since your last appointment
• OR you have less than 50% of your extensions remaining
• OR you arrive with mascara, strip lashes, clusters, or buildup
• OR your lashes are too grown out to safely fill
• OR you removed lashes at home
• OR retention was affected by illness, allergies, tears, sweat, or oil
A fill cannot rebuild a set that has shed too much.
A full set ensures:
• proper isolation
• correct weight
• safe placement
• long‑term lash health
WHY SOME CLIENTS NEED FILLS MORE OFTEN
This is based on your biology, environmental factors and aftercare, not your lash artist.
You may need more frequent fills if you have:
• hooded eyes
• monolids
• oily eyelids
• fast lash growth
• fast natural lash shedding cycles
• allergies
• watery eyes
• active lifestyles
• heavy sweating
• side or stomach sleeping
• frequent eye rubbing/picking/pulling
• makeup use
• lash serums
• not washing your lashes daily
These factors break down adhesive faster and increase shedding.
WHY SOME CLIENTS CAN GO LONGER BETWEEN FILLS
Some clients naturally have:
• slow lash growth
• dry eyelids
• eyelids do not hang on the eyelashes
• minimal oil production
• strong natural lashes
• excellent aftercare
• back‑sleeping habits
• low‑friction lifestyles
• consistent aftercare
These clients may qualify for 3‑week fills.
WHY TIME + PERCENTAGE BOTH MATTER
A client can come in at:
• 10 days with 20% remaining → NOT a 2‑week fill
• 14 days with 80% remaining → STILL a 2‑week fill
• 21 days with 60% remaining → 3‑week fill
• 18 days with 30% remaining → full set
This system is:
• fair
• consistent
• based on lash health
• based on retention science
• based on industry standards
✨ 10. STUDIO RULES
• No guests
• No children
• No pets
• No exceptions
• Required by Nevada State Health Department
✨ 11. CLIENT RESPONSIBILITY
By booking an appointment, you acknowledge:
• you have access to this guide
• you are responsible for reading it
• All policies apply whether or not you choose to read them. You will be directed at the time of your first appointment to review them here on my website, just as you are doing right now. It is your responsibility to read and follow all updated studio policies in addition to completing your intake forms.
• retention is influenced by many factors outside the artist’s control
• you will follow aftercare and studio rules
This guide protects the health of your natural lashes and ensures the best possible results.
✨ 72‑HOUR RETENTION POLICY
Your lashes must remain completely dry for the first 24–48 hours after your appointment.
Even though they feel dry when you leave the studio, the adhesive is still curing.
Any moisture — tears, water, steam, sweat, humidity, etc. — can interfere with the curing process and cause premature shedding.
After the 24–48 hour curing period, you may begin washing your lashes daily with the lash shampoo provided.
When to Contact Me For Rapid Shedding
You have 72 hours from the time you leave your appointment to notify me of any concerns.
It is your responsibility to contact me — not mine to check in with you.
If your lashes are falling out rapidly:
Contact me immediately by text message — preferably within the first 24–48 hours — so I can arrange a fix within the 72‑hour window.
Rapid shedding is not normal, and the sooner you notify me, the easier it is to correct.
A rapid‑shedding fix is a quick appointment, usually 30-45 minutes, and must be done within the 72‑hour window.
What is normal:
• Shedding 2–5 lashes per eye per day
• A few fans shedding here and there
• Light, even shedding on both eyes
This is the natural lash cycle.
What is NOT normal:
• More than 5 lashes per eye per day
• Large fans grouped and popping off
• Significant shedding on both eyes
• Adhesive lifting
If you notice anything unusual, you must text me within 72 hours.
How to Contact Me for Rapid Shedding within that 72 hours
• Text only — I do not answer calls while I’m with other clients
• Include a clear photo of the issue
• Explain what you’re seeing
• Contact me as soon as you notice it
There is no booking‑app online option for this — you must text me directly.
Complimentary Fixes (Within 72 Hours)
If the issue is due to application error, I will fix it free of charge, as long as:
• you contact me within 72 hours
• I have availability (studio hours)
• you can come in that day or the next day
Important Clarification:
I book out frequently and am full most days.
If you contact my after studio hours (within the 72 hour time frame), I can usually get you in the next day.
This is why it is extremely important to notify me as early as possible — ideally within the first 24–48 hours — so I can find a spot for a quick fix.
A complimentary fix is a short appointment, usually 30–45 minutes, and must be completed within the 72‑hour window.
What does NOT qualify:
You cannot text me at the 72‑hour mark and request a fix five days later.
The complimentary window is for immediate correction, not delayed scheduling.
If I have availability, I will get you in same day or the very next day.
If you cannot come in during that window, the fix becomes a paid 1 week fill.
After 72 Hours
If you contact me after the 72‑hour window:
• the complimentary fix no longer applies
• you may book a Weekly Fill if you need a touch‑up
• the service will be charged at the normal rate
This is because retention after 72 hours is influenced by:
• aftercare
• lifestyle
• moisture exposure
• sleep habits
• oil production
• lash cycle
• eye shape
• environmental factors
These are outside my control.
What Is NOT Covered (Even Within 72 Hours)
The following do not qualify for complimentary fixes:
• crying
• sickness
• watery eyes
• allergies
• sweating
• steam exposure
• moisture exposure
• oil exposure
• sleeping on your face or side
• rubbing or touching your eyes
• using mascara or strip lashes
• using lash serums
• not cleansing
• normal shedding
• corner shedding
• hooded/monolid/oily eyelid friction
These are client‑controlled or biological factors, not application errors.
The Bottom Line
You have 72 hours to notify me of any concerns.
If I don’t hear from you, I assume everything is perfect.
After 72 hours, all fixes are paid services.
This policy protects and ensures fairness for myself and all my clients.
